The University of Houston System's over-arching vision is to become one of the nation's finest metropolitan university systems, with a nationally recognized Tier One research university at its center.  To that end, the Board of Regents, Chancellor Khator and the university presidents lead their institutions in comprehensive planning, budgeting and performance evaluation in order to fufill this strategic direction.
