The Southwest Center for Public Safety Technology - Improve homeland security
by addressing issues ranging from traffic congestion to emergency evacuation, from environmental impacts to terrorist attacks, from flood control to emergency medical
response, and from collective governing across judiciary boundaries to disaster relief.
Local Government Mobilization Center - Study ways to effectively mobilize local governments in times of security threats such as those posed by biological, chemical, or nuclear weapons.
Center for Internet Information Systems Research - Address the Internet security and efficiency concerns of the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, and Commerce.
International Language Center - Promote homeland security, foreign policy, and national defense through the teaching of important languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Vietnamese, and Russian.
Research and Training Center for Enterprise Computing Security - Improve computer and information security through the formation of a center that combines applied research on computer security issues with hands-on training in rapid incident response.
