The University of Houston System: FY 2007 Federal Agenda

The University of Houston System is many things to Texas and the Gulf Coast region in which it is situated: economic driver, educational resource, promoter of public health, and participant in important social and policy issues. The UH System's four universities — University of Houston, University of Houston-Clear Lake, University of Houston-Downtown, and University of Houston-Victoria — give it a presence not only in several geographical areas within the region, but also within many different disciplines and pursuits.

The UH System plans to continue this tradition of leadership and service with a public policy agenda built around the following themes: investing in our economic security, developing a workforce and knowledge base for the 21st Century, better health and safety for all, and a demonstrated commitment to community service. Below is the UH System's FY 2007 Federal Agenda, which addresses these challenges and opportunities.

  1. Introduction
  2. Federal Funding Requests
  3. Education Policy Priorities
  4. Research Funding Priorities
