University of Houston System (UHS) Regents have approved a University of Houston Sugar Land Task Force report that sets in motion plans to make UH the sole UHS institution delivering programs at the Sugar Land campus. To that end, the University is planning to expand or launch 22 programs in Sugar Land and relocate a large segment of its College of Technology to that campus.
As UH expands programs at the UH Sugar Land Campus, UH-Victoria and UH-Clear Lake will incrementally cease delivery of their classes at the UH Sugar Land Campus. The existing nursing program that UH-Victoria has offered at that campus will be transferred to UH and become part of the newly organized UH Health Science Center.
The task force’s recommendations will be planned and implemented during a two-to-five year transition period. For additional details, please go to Task Force Report.
