No, UHV students will be given opportunity to complete their degrees.

What will happen to UHV labs and research that are housed in Sugar Land?
UHSL labs will remain at the UHSL campus. Alternatives for UHV faculty, staff and future students will be determined as part of the transition planning process.

Is there a possibility of creating another teaching center devoted to UHV programs?
This will be determined as part of the transition planning process.

How will moving UHV programs out of Sugar Land impact its accreditation?
There should be minimal impact. However, accreditation issues will be addressed as part of the transition planning process.

Who is involved in the UH Sugar Land Transition Team? How can I be involved or assist?
The UHSL transition work group will be announced in the near future. A web site is in place for you to volunteer your services.

Should UHV students attending classes in Sugar Land transfer to UH or another institution?
UHV students who qualify may elect to transfer to UH or another institution.

When will UHV programs completely move out of Sugar Land?
This will be determined as part of the transition planning process, projected to be two to five years.

What do I do if I am halfway through a UHV degree program and am taking courses in Sugar Land? Will I be able to complete my degree?
Yes, UHV students will be able to complete their degrees.

I received a degree from UHV through coursework in Sugar Land. How will employers verify my academic credentials?
The verification of credentials will continue to come from the UHV offices in Victoria.

Will UHV’s transition out of Sugar Land impact or eliminate any existing degree programs?
